Love Charlie’s! Amazing food and service every time! The best Mac and cheese I’ve ever tasted in my life! It’s very authentic bayou food.

Delicious rump roast, mashed potatoes, and their green beans are cooked in lots of bacon. My girlfriend had the creole Italian red gravy pasta and she loved it! Sevice was great too!

Very good home style cooking, generous portions. Roast beef very tender and flavorful. Catfish with crabmeat delicious. Crab cakes had little bread filling but too heavy a sauce. Moderately priced. Breakfasts look to be large and inexpensive. No credit cards accepted, cash only, but there is an ATM at the restaurant.

I don't judge a place by one dining experience. 1st day .had a loaded shrimp potato, i was delicious. 2nd day i had white beans with fried pork chops, outstanding but the best of all on the third day was mamas pot roast. Highly recommended.

There was dine in with social distancing being observed. The food was outstanding. Tasty. Beautifully displayed which made the food look very appetizing before eating. Prices were reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food. Restaurant was clean. Restroom was clean. Asked to meet the Chef to compliment him/her on their culinary skills.

Serves food all day and the menu offers a great variety of seafood, pasta, and homestyle cooking.

Everyone has bad days but my visit was ridiculous. I went in to order and waited over an hour to recieve my order. They were taking phone orders and preparing those before the other orders. Then I still had things missing from my order and had to wait even longer. Cash is the only form of payment and there are no receipts given with an explanation of the amount and taxes. After going through all of that I get home to eat and the food is horrible. NEVER again! A waste of my time and money!

Charlie's has a inviting atmosphere,the staff welcomes you making you feel comfortable and always smiling..Now let's get to the menu that is stuffed with choices that taste like true southern homemade dishes.. Definitely a plus that's a must if your in the area

Service was good... Food was cold and just about edible a little over priced for the atmosphere. And they only accept cash/no cards. They have an ATM inside. The menu is overwhelming and we had no idea what to order so I kept it simple. I know a lot of people love this place but I can't positively say that I will not be back to this place.

What a great tasting meal! Local place but with great atmosphere and wonderful food. Haven't had fried oysters in a very long time and the oysters at Charley's were exceptional. Batter was not to heavy and the flavor really came through. The platter sizes are huge!!!! We brought home leftovers. Be sure to experience this restaurant.

I ate @ the Lakeside mall location. The food was fresh, hot + DELICIOUS! I stick with the Philly steak + cheese but I enjoyed most of their menu. Loaded fries are also a must try!

Passed this place up multiple times and decided to give it a try. Man was I not disappointed. The food was amazing and the cornbread had me hooked. 5 stars if they didn't only accept cash.

Food was very good! Had Roast rice & gravy and a fried shrimp and oyster plate. All very tasty and the server was fantastic too!

I took my family to lunch today. We waited an hour for the wrong food to come to the table. Worst atmosphere and rude staff. We will NEVER go back!

First time to eat here after hearing about it for quite some time. Had the lunch hamburger steak, mashed potatoes & gravy, with green beans. The entire meal tasted like grandma's home cooking! Meat and potatoe portions were large, so I may have to work up an appetite before I can go back LOL

Awesome food, and they give you lots for your money. I can eat off the same dinner usually 3 times. My go to is either shrimp with baked mac and cheese with the roast beef gravy on the mac and cheese, and a small dinner salad with the vidalia onion dressing, or I have the breaded pork chops, with the same sides as the shrimp. Yummy goodness,,,and if you like pickles, you'll love their fried pickles!

The food here was great. Our server was very attentive and helpful with her suggestions. The seafood platter is worth the price. The crab was amazing. We tried the alligator sausage and it was very tasty. I could see myself ordering that in the future. We went here on the recommendation from a fishing buddy. Glad we took the advice!

You might have a little wait for your food but it's worth it, great food and staff!

Great food and service! Good value for your money.

Had the fried shrimp platter with fries. It was excellent, the shrimp was perfectly fried and seasoned and the fries were tasty too ! It was my first time, pass by it almost everyday for work, I was pleasantly surprised, a hidden gem. Definitely will go back.

We love Charlie's. They take such good care of us at every visit. You have to try the peneed pork chops! They are divine.

Catfish dinner was very good. It would have been better to me if Cole slaw and hushpuppies had been available. That would have been the fifth star. The young lady who served us was excellent. Recommend.

They elevate breakfast beyond the ubiquitous chains without pretentiousness. Shrimp and grits or Red Velvet pancakes are done as well as you would get them at world known eateries. You can also go for the basic breakfast staples like eggs, sausage, bacon, etc with biscuits or on po-boys. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Best place to eat in St. Bernard Parish! I've never had a bad meal here. Staff and food are awesome!

Very large menu. But the food was amazing. We will definitely be back. Crawfish pasta and pecan crusted catfish were delicious.

Typical dinner with seafood. Food is good and hot when brought out. $1 to $2 more in price than other places.

A wonderful place for a delicious lunch. My daughter and I were exploring St Bernard Parish and found this southern gem. The food was amazing and our waitress Amanda was very friendly and kind.

Unique choices with fresh ingredients cooked to perfection is the best way i can describe my experience.

Wow yummy. Huge portions and friendly service. Only negative (besides the screaming cajuns next to us) is I got too full too quickly.

Reccomendation from the State Park Ranger sent us here. She was so correct as out of towners, read the whole menu, order what you can't pronounce! The waitress was super nice and the food was great. Wife even liked the fried catfish.

We had a great experience. Josh was a good server, very attentive. He told us about their specials and we actually took him up on both, along with a cup of gumbo! Yum! We paid with credit card so they do accept them. Thank you for your southern hospitality!

Tracey was my waitress and she was wonderful. The roast , mashed potatoes and gravy was very delicious. Also grilled pork chops. That is the only place I will eat the pork chops .
